USB-C not working to import from nikon z6II but it does work for imovie…

I'm connecting my Nikon Z62 with the cable that it came with to my MacBook Air. The cable it came with is a USB-C to USB-A, and then I have a converter so that it can plug into my computer (USB-A to USB-C adapter).

my camera shows up in iMovie, but not in premiere Pro, or anywhere else on my HD. Does anyone have tips to be able to import my footage to premiere Pro?

Premiere will only work over firewire with tape cameras.

Capture with iMovie then import into Premiere from the harddrive.
