v24 of Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and After Effects not launching on PC

Hi everyone, first time poster here.

I've recently tried updating my PC with the v24 apps as per the title of my post. Each of these hangs on launch at different exporters before crashing. Other v24 apps inc. Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition seem to work just fine.

Even worse, when I've tried rolling back to the latest v23 versions of said apps, I now get the exact same issue, which means I no longer have any functioning versions on my PC. Needless to say this is incredibly frustrating.

Note that I've tried re-downloading CC and the specific apps multiple times, but the only difference is which launch item decides to crash them. I've run Adobe Cleaner and completed a fresh install of everything to no avail. I've also confirmed that I'm well above the system requirements.

Here's my rig:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core / 3.80 GHz

GPU - NVDIA GeForce RTX 2070

RAM - 64GB

System: 64-bit x264

OS: Windows 10 22H2

Any advice would be appreciated. And please let me know if further info is needed to diagnose. Thanks in advance to everyone 🙂

Chris

Maybe try and create a new user account with administrator privileges and see if you can install using the new user... I'm mainly a mac guy, so I can't give you specific instructions, but google is probably your friend to figure out how to do this.   If that doesn't work, I'd do a complete clean reinstall of windows

And do you have the latest studio driver installed for the GPU?  It's important to use the studio driver NOT the game driver

Thanks Michael. I haven't tried setting up a new administrator account yet - definitely my next port of call. I'd be pretty frustrated if a clean Windows install was the only solution - Having to redownload and install all of my software just to update a couple of apps is not a viable workflow moving forward (and is likely a subscription-breaker for me) so this is a last resort.

And yes I have the latest studio driver installed - thanks for checking.

UPDATE: I've managed to roll back to v23.3 of each app. v23.4 and beyond do not work, so I'm guessing it's a preferences issue, even after doing the full cleanout. I've recently discovered an article saying that Cleaner actually needs to be run twice (because of course it does). Will go through this process over the weekend (as well as using a new admin account) and see if I have better luck.

Thanks again.
