I've been having issues lately rendering video (through Premier, After Effects, Media Encoder) on my main computer. Nothing has changed with the computer in this timeframe.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10610U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30 GHz
Installed RAM: 32.0 GB
Disk Space: 475 GB total (135 GB free space)
As a test, I transfered my working files to another computer with the following specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB
Disk Space: 222 GB total (154 GB free space)
Time to render on computer #1: 5 hours 28 minutes
Time to render on computer #2: 8 minutes
Output settings are identical between both computers. Test files are obviously the same. There isn't nearly enough difference between these two machines for this to be happening. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Also, what does each computer have for graphics specs?
Looks to me a huge difference, and I am no expert.
Second computer has a slightly better graphics card.
I guess what I meant by "there isn't nearly enough difference..." was I didn't think a 1.6x difference in processing speed would result in a 35x difference in rendering time.
It's not only CPU speed (although that is the primary difference), but also the number of cores and threads.
Ok - thanks for that info. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to processor specs and how each feature plays into performance. Maybe they are vastly different and the first machine needs some upgrading.
