Vertical Line when exporting through Media Encoder

Hello, I have a strange issue that started occuring recently on some projects.  I edit a lot with three layers: 1) bottom: white background, 1) middle layer: PPT slides, croped, 3) talent, shot against the green screen, with green keyed out.  See attached screenshot of my timeline.

However, when I am exporting through Media Encoder (preset: High Quality 1080p HD, format H.264), I keep getting a vertical line right at the edge where the middle layer, that is PPT slides, is cropped. See attached.  However, when exporting directly from Premiere, this line does not appear and the export is fine.  Any thoughts?

In the meatime, I learned that if I go to my Project Settings and if I switch the Renderer to "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only," I see the same line in my Premiere Timeline (and the render bar in the timeline turns from yellow to red) .  If I swith back to "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelaration (Metal) - Recommended," the vertical line disappears (and the render bar turns back to yellow).  So, I can export the video from Premiere without that line, but I have many videos to export, and I'd rather batch export with Media Encoder.  Any thoughts how to eliminate the line in Media Encoder?
