Video Editor Seeking the Best Laptop for Video Editing and Blogging

New Here ,
Oct 19, 2024 Oct 19, 2024

Hello, my name is Usman. I am a video editor and an SEO specialist. I mainly work on motion graphic projects in video editing, and as many of you may know, these projects can put a significant load on any system. Currently, I am working with an HP Probook 435, but I’ve realized it’s no longer capable of handling both my video editing and blogging tasks efficiently.

Given my workload, it’s crucial for me to upgrade to a high-end system. Therefore, I’m reaching out to ask for your suggestions on a powerful system that can easily handle my editing and blogging projects. Ideally, I’m looking for a system with at least 4 cores or more, and one that can manage even my largest video projects effortlessly.

I’m eager to hear everyone's recommendations and plan to make a purchase as soon as possible. So, if you have any suggestions, please share them without hesitation.

Thank you!

If sticking with HP, the HP Zbook Studio G11 (recentlly released) or G10.

If macOS is an option, the 16-inch or 14-inch M3 Max MacBook Pro or M4 Max that's soon to be released.

Just a comment on that requirement. First, practically all new computers now have 4 or more CPU cores, so that’s a given. What’s actually important for video editing is a good balance between CPU cores, GPU performance, memory (RAM), GPU memory, and large amounts of fast storage.

Also you said “manage even my largest video projects effortlessly.” That depends on how large your largest projects are. The size and complexity of video projects can vary greatly, from simple YouTube/TikTok videos that most laptops can handle, to truly large video projects for commercial television and feature films (4K and up, many tracks, many effects, demanding codecs). If your video projects actually do approach the size and complexity of commercial projects, then your hardware will likely need to be at the upper end of the specs: 12 or more CPU cores, top end GPU with at least 8GB VRAM, 64GB RAM or more, and many TB of internal and external fast SSD storage. And if you really want to edit “effortlessly” for a very large project, that might require a desktop computer. One factor that affects whether video editing bogs down is whether the laptop cooling system is good enough to keep the internal temperature down.

But, if you really mean you want the laptop to handle the most demanding video projects that a blogger/SEO specialist might create, then the suggestions that others are offering should work well.

For Blogging, you wont need a high performance laptop, but you will need one for video editing. So if you are on a budget, it is better for you to go for a gaming laptop. I would recommend the HP Victus 16 Gaming Laptop. I feel you should go for a model with at least a i7 or Ryzen 7. Make sure that it at least has 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. When it comes to GPU, go for at least a RTX 4050. It should not cost you more than $800. Some other options are Acer Nitro V, Dell G15 and Asus Tuf gaming.

The original source where I saw this is Best gaming laptops for video- editing under $1500.

Hope this helps the new viewers of this post.

Are you linking to a cracked, pirate version of that program?
