Import shows 450gb of 4k video. but when encoding it takes lots of space h264

Can you add a little more context here. What is your question? Your source media is 450GB and your export is more than that? You have control over the format/codec, and bitrate of your exports. Higher bitrate = higher quality (retention) = larger file size.
