I sent you a private message with a link on how to downgrade a Premiere project file. Did you see it?

Are You importng files directly from camera? if so, import files directly to your storage and then import them to pp, also when importing try just dragging them on the timeline.

I am not importing directly from the camera. I have them saved to the hard drive, and then have tried importing through the media browser, dropping in from explorer, dropping to the library first, and also dropping directly into the timeline. All of the files play on my computer and also, strangely, play in the preview window inside Premiere, they just will not load into the timeline once imported into the library. I get no error messages when importing into the library.

I would recommend to everyone having these problems to revert to using Premiere Pro CC 2017 until Adobe fixes these bugs.

Has anybody upgraded to High Sierra? I'm still in El Capitan and have these issues. If someone can confirm that upgrading will, in fact, solve all the import issues, then I might bite the bullet.
Would upgrading the OS solve all of this?

tima4427a Upgrading your OS on Mac should resolve the issue, yes.
yagomlopez If you have a Windows related issue, can you share a small project with media maybe via Dropbox? Other Win reports on this thread were resolved / not related to the core import bug.
If anyone has a Windows related project they are willing to share that reproduces any of these issues please PM me.
Thanks for the assistance. We are working on this issue. As of right now, it is recommended that Mac OS 10.11 users stick with 2017 or update their OS if they'd like to move to 2018. Please exercise caution and make backups if switching versions mid-project.

Hello there,
I am having this same problem, with video imported from a few cameras. I am using an imac running high sierra 10.13.5. As some others have described it does not happen consistently. The first few times it happened I was able to close premiere, and then make a new project, and things would work for a spell, but now I am am having this issue right off the bat every new project I create. I have: cleared the media cache, restarted the computer, reinstalled premiere, and even reinstalled my os, and this same problem is cropping up all the time. Have you had any luck sorting this issue out yet?

!!! POSSIBLE FIX !!!
Hi guys,
I was having this same issue, tried loads of the ideas on here, nothing worked!
But then I tried something...
- Renamed Files > Same problem. The videos had imported, some with video and audio, others with just audio.
So then >
- Pressed the Video Track buttons (Timeline Panel: V2, V3, V4). Then the Audio buttons (A1, A2, A3). So that they were all turned ON (Highlighted).
- Then toggled the Synclock button on Timeline 1, 2 or 3, and tried to drag the same videos that didn't work before, onto the timeline and it worked!!
Strange fix, i guess.
Just thought I'd share that.
Thanks,
Dragonfyr
