Video imported into Rush and Premier Pro has distorted low horror audio - audio not working

on android Adobe Rush and Windows 10 Premier Pro - I have a youtube or facebook video downloaded and the video plays fine in VLC and Samsung photos, but when added to Rush or Premier Pro it sounds like a horror movied - super low and slow and the video plays fine...

is it not understanding the FB /YT compression? is there some ad on that could make premier pro know what a video is the same way VLC does?

Glad you found a way to make them work.
The .mp4 file format is a 'wrapper' that can hold a bazillion different compression types, some of which Adobe products do not natively understand.

This is often due to low frequency or highly compressed audio. Someone posted audio data for a file that wasn't playing well and the audio was only around 22.1Khz.

Changing that to at least 44.1Khz would be an improvement.
