Video plays back fine in native resolution (1920x1080) however as soon as I put it in a 1080x1350 sequence the playback is choppy until I render in and out. Afterewards if I make a small change like scale or postion I have to render in and out again. I'm also using proxies (same issue toggeled on or off)
This is a new issue and havn't run into this before - Have searched everywhere and canot find a soultion anyway. Any ideas?

Hi there,
We're sorry about the poor experience. Let us know the version of Premiere Pro that you are using & the system specifications (OS, CPU, GPU & RAM). Also, is this happening with any specific media type or is it happening with all of them?
Thanks,
Sumeet

So it appears if the 4k footage is scaled to frame size within a 1080x1920 sequence and brought into the 1080x1350 sequence that where the issue is arising. Assuming its due to the scaling of the clip being so inlarged.
Cheers!
