Video pasting to the left of the playhead

Hi! Whenever I try to copy-paste a video into a track, it will paste to the left of the playhead instead of pasting to the right.

How can I change the settings so that whenever I paste something, it automatically pastes to the right of the playhead?

Please try resetting preferences and then try again:

1. Launch Premiere Pro and hold down any modifier key, such as Command, Option, Shift (macOS), or Ctrl, Alt, or Shift (Windows). Or open it through the Preferences dialog.

That's a new one.  I've never heard of that happening.

Can you show screenshots of a video of that?

Hopefully, resetting the preferences as suggested by RobShultz will fix that.
