Bonjour AntoineVERNIER,
Sorry to hear about your problems. Do you have dual monitors? If a single monitor, are you using a custom workspace? What happens with a single monitor and a preset workspace? Anything better?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hello Kevin,
Thank you for the feedback, it's true that I didn't specify, I work in dual screen, since I'm on an MSI laptop with a direct HDMI screen.
I slightly customized the workspace by removing tabs and have everything on the screen in HDMI (Premiere Pro).
I would have to test with a screen, that of the laptop
THANKS,
Anthony

I just tested:
- the screen of my laptop only (unplugged the HDMI screen), the freeze is still present
- the screen in HDMI by deactivating the screen of the laptop, the freeze is always present

If you create intraframe proxies in Premiere, either Cineform or ProRes, do they work better?
I'm wondering if the H.264 long-GOP format is perhaps the issue.

I have not tested by generating proxies by Premiere Pro
Here is the detail of my sequences:

Are the proxies you're working with also H.264?

That's why I suggested trying to make a few proxies in Pr of Cineform or ProRes proxy formats they have available. See if the playback is smoother. As then, it would be the issue you're having is H.264 decoding.

Hi,
Sorry for my late return, I wanted to finish my current edits before testing with proxies generated by Adobe.
So, I redid a 2 hour video session and I generated proxies in QuickTime CineForm Media Resolution and I just had the problem again: no more preview during playback, no more nothing: force to close
I have another video session that I did before with proxies generated in ProRes Medium Resolution, to see if I have the problem
