Have you already made your game/screen capture footage constant frame rate?
If not visit handbrake and run your footage through to make constant frame rate mp4s and try again.
Premiere Pro does not like variable frame rate footage which often comes from screen captures, some mobile devices etc

its constant frame rate and only happens to those two files after i tried to open a cs5 project with them in cs6
i did fix it by making loseless png quicktimes and using them instead
i tried cleaning the cache and previews but that didnt help and neither did changing the renderer to software only
the codec in the avi is FRAPS FPS1 which come from fraps and I have used it before many times with no problems

You need to use a different codec.
