When I click the microphone button to record a voice-over, there is a bunch of lound static noise coming out of my computer. It does not happen in Imovie so its just premiere. I checked that my microphone settings were correct, anyone knows how to fix this?

Make a screen-grab of your Audio Hardware setting dialog in Premiere. Then reply by clicking the blue Reply button on your original post, and drag/drop the image onto the reply box.

Changing this setting worked for me.

(On a Mac:)

Premiere Pro>Preferences>Audio Hardware>Settings button>Format dropdown: Select a 2-channel option if a 4-channel option is selected.

I'm having the same issue, and none of these replies have helped me.  Are there any other suggestions?
