Please help, I have been using Premiere Pro for years and have just set it up in my new PC....trying to do a voice over and it keeps jumping to the start instead of the point I need to record from!!! I cannot find out why or how to stop that.

Lesley,

What Peru Bob suggests should get you sorted. This has been a frequent issue for users over the years. For more information, see my post:

I had trouble finding the help section, which is here:

Hi Lesley Pyke,

Have you enabled Preroll countdown in the Voice-Over Record Settings? Also, is it recoding from the beginning of the timeline or just jumping for the Preroll visual cue?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Thanks Stan, great information. I was surprised with this as I had never come across this before with a new PC. But I right clicked time line and "clear in and outs" ...done and sorted! Thank you very much!
