Warp Stabilisation not appearing on clips on timeline?

After running stabilisation on a clip, the effect doesn't update on the clip on the timeline.
In the Effects Control panel I can see that the clip has been stabilised, but on the sequence nothing changes and during playback the effect is not applied. Rendering the clip makes no difference either.  When the clip is exported the effect is applied.

Clip with Warp Stabiliser effect switched on:

No change whatsoever in the image appearing in the Program Viewer.
This is the 1st time I've ever seen this and it only started happening during this project, inside the last week.
It's very frustrating, as the only way to see howw effective the effect has been is to export the clip or sequence out and check it there, which is a major interruption to my workflow.

I figured it out. The little fx button on the Program Monitor had been switched on.
I truly am a doofus (face palm)!
