Warp Stabilizer cropping clip into corner

I have a clip from a gopro that was attached to my dog... The clip is very, very shakey.

When I apply Warp Stabilizer and don't change anything, it crops the clip severely. When I change to stabilize only, it drops the clip into the bottom right corner as shown. I've tried changing addition scale within the warp stabilizer effect, tried preserve scale, tried changing scale/position/anchor point of the original clip, all to no avail.

I have a feeling the clip is too shakey for the effect to work, but there must be a way to at least slightly stabilize? As it is set in the photo, the video never touches the top or left edges of the frame, which makes me think there is some room for improvement? Any help is welcome, thanks so much.

Warp Stabilizer works best when it can find recurring points to track from frame to frame. The more of these points it can identify, the better the stabilization will be. When there's a lot of movement, it can reduce the number of trackable points, making stabilization more challenging.

For very shaky footage, you might want to try changing the Method to Position, Scale, Rotation, or check Advanced > Detailed Analysis to see if that improves the result.

To reduce the amount of cropping or scaling, you can also try lowering the value of either Auto Scale > Maximum Scale or Crop Less <-> Smooth More.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
Paul

Warp Stabilizer can do wonder, it cannot perform miracles.

In other words, not every clip is suited to be stabilized. It is designed for wobbly hand held footage

The more wobbly/garden hosed/fast movement the clip has, the less chance of success.
