Warp Stabilizer Crops Resized Clips in Playback

While I love that I no longer have to nest my clip in order to apply the warp stabilizer effect, since Adobe has made that upgrade, I find that my clips (captured in a 4k, scaled down to 50%) often playback with bizarre cropping on my timeline when watching back. I wonder if there is a solution to this outside of nesting, as I would like the option to resize or natively adjust the clip on my timeline.
