Premiere Pro keeps crashing immediatedly after applying warp stabilizer to ProResHQ clips.
I've tried to nest the clip, I've tried to delete unused media cache and still no help.
My only workaround is to render the ProResHQ clip by itself without warp stabilizer into a .mov or .mp4 file. Then and only then can I apply warp stabilizer without it crashing. Unfortunately there is a loss of quality in this process and I didn't have this issue until I updated to 2024 and 2025 versions.
Any help is much appreciated.
Hi @dominickrprince ,
Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums! We are glad to see you here. That definitely sounds like an annoying workaround. Are you using any Lumetri color effects as well? Also when you say 2024 and 2025 versions - can you be more specific about when you noticed it starting?
To help with this issue, we’ll need a few more details. Please see; How do I write a bug report?
I hope we can help you soon. Sorry for the frustration!
Thanks,
Rach
