warp stabilizer

New Here ,

Sometimes when I apply warp stabilizer to a clip, it is not scaling the clip to fit the screen.  This only happens occasionally but it's very frustrating and I don't know how to fix it. I have a client that wants no shakiness during their wedding ceremony and have a couple clips I really need to warp stabilize but I'm not sure how to do it with this weird issue popping up. Screenshot of issue is attached. Thanks!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

No shakiness during their wedding ceremony

Sometimes a client can ask the impossible.

The clip in question might not be suited to completely stabilize to No Motion.

Long clip and walking with the camera e.g. are a pita.

You will have to set it to Smooth Motion and tweak the parameter.

Or check out After Effects.

You can 'solve' this by slightly zoom in on the clip manually.

It does seem to only happen on clips of them walking down the aisle.  And there is minimal shakiness, a tripod and gimbal were used but they are saying its super shaky and so I'm in my head trying to get any type of shakiness out with warp stabilizer. I know I can't use it on some clips because it will be a little warped looking but I never tried to use it for walking down the aisle clips. I've never had to so at least now I know! Thank you for your help!

We've had a pro portrait studio over forty years. (Last decade though I've been in video production personally, the wife still runs the studio.) And over that time, did our fair share of weddings. Until we decided we were too old and impatient to mess with them.

"Too shaky" ... is the kind of comment that we could just (internallly, you DON'T show this to the client ...) roll our eyes at. As this could be a whole passle of things. Starting with ... once they've seen one little problem, some people start into a descending dive into details everywhere, seeing issues here ... there ... there ... to "the color on that side of the face is not the same ... " because it's in shadow or because it's got a different light hitting it.

Maybe it is only camera shake ... but ... that could as easily be they don't like their gait walking up there, and think the camera must be screwing up. Or there's a bare hint of rolling shutter motion they're seeing and think is 'shake'. Or something in the background seems to move during the shot. Or ... several things else. Like ... we spent enough bucks on this, we gotta complain about something ... and they look for anything to complain about. Maybe or maybe not trying to setup a reduced price "fix".

The frustrating thing for us was always that you first had to sort out what the real complaint was. And whether it was legit, or ... trying for being In Command, price drop, whatever. Then sort out how to respond to the actual issue. NOT ... the fun part of the gig.

Do what you can about the shakiness, Ann has good advice there. But be aware, their 'sensitivity' to this may not be related to shakiness at all. Sigh.

Hola, si quieres estabilizar un clip que no se ajusta al tamaño de tu secuencia, solo anídalo (nest)  y aplicas el WARP STABILIZER sobre el clip anidado.
Con eso solucionas el problema.
Saludos
