Hi everyone,
I am a Youtuber making video essays with motion graphics in after effects. All of the visuals are animated in AE, and then I plan to edit the audio in Premiere alongside a dynamic link to the master comp version of the project in AE. I am trying to render the entire dynamic link in premiere so I can smoothly watch the video back to double check it for any errors before publishing a final draft and to accurtely line up sound effects with the animations. However, I have always struggled with exporting or rendering literally anything in premiere, and I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong in my workflow, if it's a hardware issue, or something else.
Right now, my rendering is said to take over 20 hours for a ten minute video. I understand that I'm using a dynamic link and intensive effects in AE, but is this still normal? I always, always, always have issues rendering, is it something in Premiere that's making those render times so long? Is it how I set up the project with the dynamic link setup? I've received advice in the past saying to use the "render and replace" feature to make the AE dynamic link comp into a video that can easily be played, watch that through and mark the time stamps of where any edits need to be changed, then make the video back to a dynamic link and make the edits in AE before exporting. Is this really the best option? There's no timer or mention of what frame the render is at for render and replace, so if it ever gets stuck (which always happens) I wouldn't be able to easily tell. If I want to not have to deal with these absurd rendering times without sacrificing effects used or graphics made in AE, do I just have to buy better PC components? What would those be? I just upgraded my PC, so the fact I'm still receiving rendering times that are said to take over a day for a practically ten minute video just seems a bit absurd to me and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong in my workflow that could be improved, or if it's simply a matter of buying better equipment. Thank you all so much!

My personal choice has always been to finish an Ae comp, then export as a full media file to replace the dynamic link section on the sequence.
That saves a ton of headache and re-render time down the road.
