You need to learn how to use color management to suit your media and your needs. And further, the next major version is already the current public beta, and it has a LOT more color management options and tools than the current 24.x series.
Typically display color management, auto detect log, auto tonemapping, all set on.
Use a Rec.709 sequence color space, and viewing gamma is your choice.
