when i right click a clip to make proxy, it queues in media encoder but is Stuck in the ready mode. yes i hit the play button and nothing is happening.

i'm using an m1 macbook pro. operating system macOS Monterey. Media Encdoder 22.6 (build 65). Adobe premiere Version 22.5.0 (build 62).

whenever something similar happened on my desktop when i wanted to take a timeline and hit export and queue it in encoder and it would sit there, i was instructed to go into media encoder preferences and uncheck "import sequences natively" and that fixed the export issue. this time with the proxy, that "import" option is already unchecked. why isnt my computer making proxies? please help

never mind. after about 10-15+ minutes of it sitting there in the queue doing absolutely nothing, it finally started to encode on its own. ridiculous.
