Whole screen goes black when playing back footage

Hi All,

Appreciate any help I can get because im completely lost.

Ive only just downloaded Premiere Pro and imported some footage but as soon as I start playback, the WHOLE monitor screen goes black. When i press spacebar again to stop the footage, my screen comes back.

I dont even know where to start about what the issue could be. 

Has anyone else had this issue before?
