This is insane???? how can I get past this terrible bug???? I have used PP since CS2 and imported 1000's of MP4's So LAME.............
Is the codec used inside the file supported by Premiere?
Use Mediainfo to check.

Sorry for the problem. Can you please share the Premiere Pro version , device details and media properties (accessible from the Project panel --> Right-click on the media file or mediainfo tool)?

OK I figured it out, it was the Codec not supported by PP.
