Why older versions are removed?

Due to the lack of performance on my Mac, I'd reinstall the system to regain a clean operating OS. Today, after I reinstalled the Creative Cloud APP, I found out that the Premiere Pro, After Effect and Media Encoder, these APPs older versions all are removed. I'm still using my old machine which is still running Monterey OS, the Creative Cloud App keeps telling me the system needs an update to install those Apps. Why did Adobe remove them? I'm still paying you to use those Leagle applications which you urge customers to do. Is there any solution to let me get those older versions?

Hi pchiang4,

Welcome to the community! Could you please confirm the version of Premiere Pro you wish to install? Your OS should not be an issue for installing the current version of Premiere Pro as it requires macOS Monterey (version 12) or later to work. Could you please also share the other system specs (CPU, GPU & RAM)?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Hi Sumeet

Thanks for replying. Here is the system specs.

Machine: MacPro late 2013

OS: macOS Monterey 12.7.6

CPU: 2.7 GHz 12 Cores Intel Xeon E5

GPU: AMD Radeon PRO W6600 8 GB

RAM: 128 GB 1066 MHz DDR3

In late 2024, it was able to install older version APPs from the Creative Cloud APP by clicking 3 dots. There are many previous versions that can be chosen. Due to my CPU limitation, I believe that version 23.x.x of Premiere Pro, After Effects could be available for my system. Recently in early 2025, I installed the Creative Could App after reinstalling a clean OS. It turns out older versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder are removed.

Another story today. I uninstalled every application and Creative Cloud. Reboot machine. Redownload the Creative Cloud. Those older versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder are still removed. They are now only version 25.1 available and I can not install them. I rechecked their minimal requirement qualification which I reckon has almost been reached. Only the CPU could not support the AVX2 need. That's why I need older versions to operate on my computer.

I provide most info to you at my best. Hope this info could help you to help me to get those applications.

You can only install the versions which are supported, i.e. the last two versions. It's been like this for years...

There is no way to get older versions anymore...
