Windows beep when pressing alt delete in Premiere Pro

When deleting clips by pressing alt+delete in Premiere I noticed it made the Windows notification sound. I then discovered it did this whenever I pressed alt+delete in Premiere, whether I was deleting anything or not. Pressing alt and delete in any other program does not cause the same effect. I use alt+delete pretty regularly when editing and this is the first day I've noticed it happening. Seems like a bug.

Note, this issue was also found here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/using-alt-key-modifier-on-win10-causes-os-so... in this case the "solution" was to turn off the default windows alert beep. This is not a solution, it's an inconvenient workaround. Disabling the sticky keys also seems inaffective.
