In the past premiere freezes ocassionally and it usually happened when I zoom in the timeline. When this happens, I see the hour glass, and the whole window turns gray. I would have to kill the process and lose some work.
I read somewhere maybe installing the studio version of nvidia driver would help?
What is the correct way to do this?
If I go to nvidia web site to download and install this, would it conflict with windows update?
Would windows update overwrite this driver with the next update?

I just chatted with nvidia support and was told windows update would not overwrite the studio driver.
Has anyone switched from game ready driver to studio driver and noticed any difference?

It usually makes a difference.
Make sure to do a Clean Installation. It is an option when installing.

After installing the studio driver, it still freeze the same way.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?
Right now I set the auto save to 5 minutes to reduce lost time but there has to be a better solution.

Hi there!
Sorry to hear that. Do you see any error codes or messages when it crashes? Can you share your system details (OS, CPU, RAM, GPU)?
Let us know.
Thanks,
Kartika
