XML Export Issue - "Uniform Scale" not Preserving Settings

Hello everyone,

I'm currently facing an issue with Adobe Premiere Pro that I'm hoping someone might be able to assist me with.

When I export my timeline into an XML, upon reopening it, I notice that my clips are all stretched. The "uniform scale" box under Effect Controls for all the clips has been unchecked, even though I had definitely checked it prior to the export. I'm unsure as to why this happens and I'm seeking a way to preserve the "uniform scale" setting when I export my project as an XML.

For context, I'm consistently using the same version of Premiere Pro for both exporting and importing the XML files. I'm not transferring the project to different software, so I don't think it's a compatibility issue.

Here are the steps I typically follow:

  1. Make sure "uniform scale" is checked for all clips.
  2. Export project as XML.
  3. Import the XML into a new project.

I'm at a loss as to why this issue persists and any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated! If anyone needs more information to help troubleshoot, I'm more than happy to provide.

Thank you!

Of course, adjust the wording as needed to match your own style and specific circumstances. I hope this helps, and best of luck with finding a solution!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
