So when you edit out the top of a sentences which migh be "You know" the text engine automatically capitalises teh first letter of the first word if it detects a full stop at the end of the previous sentence, And similarly to that - if you cut the end of a sentence and there is already a caapital letter at teh beginning of hte next sentence, the text enginge automatically adds a full stop at the cut.
