Why do I not have the ability to make a new folder in the import tab? This is some simple 101 UI ability. Instead I have to go into Windows Explorer to make a new folder from there. Super annoying and it has been like this since you changed to the Import/Edit/Export tabs. I just cant understand why these "bugs" doesent get fixed. Dont you have meetings discussion your software interface? Arent you using your own software?

Adobe's semi-official answer to complaints like these: The Import tab is not meant to be used  🙂

By @BRUSJAN AS

In Windows i can right click anywhere in the Import dialog to create a new folder or click on the New folder icon up left in the same dialog.

I'm talking about the import tab, which Adobe seems to want us to use.

On a side note you can skip this Import tab

Give name, location and hit OK, that is it.

Oh, that one. Just ignore it and do your imports as you did before. Do what you want, not what anyone else want.

This page is for users to give suggestions for optimizing the software. I am aware that it can be done the old way, but this is something that should be fixed in my opinion. This is also a small thing, but a series of small things that makes the software frustrating to use. The way Adobe develops and updates its software is in my opinion too slow. This page is full of examples of that.

I can move this thread to Idea, but there is no point as there is the ability to add a folder or as Adobe calls it a BIN.

But the bin shows in the Project Window not in the Import tab.

The Import tab represent windows explorer or finder.

You cannot make a folder/bin inside the Import tab.

Its the same as in the Media Browser: you cannot make folders/bins there either.

A bin is just inside the software. I want to have the ability to also keep structure in Windows Explorer. "You cannot make a folder/bin inside the Import tab." Thats the whole point of this thread

I will move the thread to Ideas.

If you use the Project window to import your stuff there you can make folders in WExpl.

If it was up to me this whole Import tab should go away.
