It would be a game-changer to have automatic rotoscoping built directly into Premiere Pro, similar to what’s available in After Effects or Final Cut Pro.
As someone who edits a lot of sports reels, speed and efficiency are crucial. Being able to click on a subject — like an athlete — and have Premiere automatically track and mask them out would save a ton of time. This would be incredibly useful for effects like placing text or graphics behind the player, applying background blur, or doing isolated color grading without jumping into After Effects.
Having AI-driven masking right in the Premiere timeline would seriously streamline fast-turnaround edits and make creative effects more accessible.
