Please add the capability to add audio effects to "Master Clips" the same way that video effects can be applied. I realize the most commonly-referenced workaround is to use the audio mixer and apply an effect(s) to the track output. But this workaround makes a critical assumption that:
A) all or most of the instances of a master clip are on the same track
B) All of the clips on a given track are from the same master/source
This may be true in short & simple projects. But bigger projects with dozens or even hundreds of source clips over several tracks makes it that much more vital to be able to apply audio effects to the master clip and know that it will always be there when it's used on the timeline.
Yes, the source files could be opened in another program like Audition and be processed with destructive effects, but that process is, well, destructive. Trying to compare and consistefy the results between several master clips would be nearly impossible.
Thanks for your consideration,
