I’m reaching out regarding the “double-tap spacebar” function in Premiere Pro, which currently returns the playhead to the beginning of the timeline (or to the in-point). While I understand that the single-tap spacebar is configured as a “Play/Stop Toggle,” the double-tap feature often disrupts my workflow by unintentionally sending the playhead back to the start.
Could Adobe consider removing this double-tap function or allowing users to toggle it on or off? Ideally, I would love to continue using the spacebar as a “Play/Stop Toggle” without any additional functionality, so playback simply stops and resumes from wherever I am on the timeline.
Thank you for anyone considering this update as well—it would greatly improve the editing experience for those of us who need precise control over playback without unintentional jumps to the beginning.
