I like the Ducking feature in the Essential Sound Panel.
However, besides volume ducking, IMHO a ducking technique based on frequency is much more elegant.
This effect is best described as an "outside the club" effect, where you can have a normal conversation between people while still hearing the distant and often bassy version of the music in the background. Like you're literally standing outside the club.
Normally, you would achieve this via a side-chain effect in a DAW. Side chaining, however, is not possible in PPro. Usually, I create a second copy of the music on a new audio track to which I add a graphic equalizer where I substantially duck all the mid and higher frequencies.
All in all, this takes quite a bit of editing work.
Would it be possible to add a slider inside the Ducking section that allows you to determine how much ducking of mid and higher frequencies you desire whenever dialogue appears?
