I think mask tracking should process in the background progress panel !
This would be a great update regarding workflow, so useres can continue editing while mask tracking or go for tracking multiple masks at the same time !
Mask tracking usually consumes a little percentage of CPU performance with almost no GPU contripution (which is a point to be optimized too), so tracking multiple masks at the same time will perform easily anyway.
