As an enthusiastic user of Adobe Premiere Pro, I wanted to share a suggestion regarding the enhancement of the Deflicker effect within our editing software.

While working on recent projects, I've encountered footage with flicker issues that have posed challenges in post-production. In seeking solutions, I've noticed areas where the Deflicker effect in Premiere Pro could be further refined to offer more comprehensive and efficient correction capabilities.

Given Premiere Pro's reputation for excellence and innovation, I believe there's an opportunity to elevate the Deflicker tool to better address the diverse needs of users encountering flicker-related challenges. By optimizing this feature, we can enhance the editing experience and empower users to achieve their creative vision more seamlessly.

Which one do you mean Anti flicker filter in the ECP or Flicker Removal in Field Options.

Anti flicker reduces flicker show on an interlaced display.

Flicker removal blends fields in interlaced footage.

So it would mean a total new feature for progressive assets.

As of now DE:flicker from Revision is the best imo.

Hello,

Neither the Anti-flicker filter in Premiere Pro's ECP nor the Flicker Removal option in Field Options adequately address the issues caused by high or low shutter speeds, particularly when filming under fluctuating light sources like LEDs. While both features aim to mitigate flicker on interlaced displays or in interlaced footage, they fall short in effectively handling scenarios with extreme shutter speeds. As you mentioned, DE:flicker and Flicker Free have been effective solutions for such situations. However, I believe there's an opportunity for improvement by integrating dedicated tools within Premiere Pro to address flickering caused by varying shutter speeds. This would provide users with more convenient and efficient options for fixing flicker issues directly within their editing workflow.
