When editing text, you can adjust the "horizontal scale" and "vertical scale" separately

When editing text, you can adjust the "horizontal scale" and "vertical scale" separately (like in Photoshop).

I'd like to have items for horizontal scale and vertical scale in the properties panel when editing text.

Currently, you can change it by transforming the layer,
but I often find this specification inconvenient.

For example, if you want to make the first line of a two-line caption elongated,
you'll need to separate layers for each line because the aspect ratio will change for each layer if you transform the layer.

The attached image is the text panel in Photoshop, but I think it would be more convenient if the items in the yellow frame were there.

You can scale in either direction in the Effects Control Panel by unclicking Uniform Scale

Or in the Properties panel by clicking the link/unlink button for scale

@MyerPj
Thank you for your reply and suggestion.
I understand the method you suggested.
However, your method applies to all text layers.
What I want to do is make a partial change. For example, if there are eight characters, I want to change only two of them. That's how it works.
Did you understand?

I see, of course. 🙂

Aside from the controls, Tracking, Leading,  etc.  You can adjust the 'Font Size' for individual characters in the graphic by selecting the letter(s) you wish to change inside the text layer and then use the Font Size control. Any you're right, the scale effects the whole layer.

@MyerPj
Yes, it affects the entire layer.
What we want to do is make a local change.
And that's what Photoshop allows us to do.
