Why doesn't Metadata Display not save the order of the metadata display?

I create a custom Metadata Display. I select it every time I start a new project, and then I have to re-order it on every project. Why?

I believe the meta-data display is saved with the Workspace, so you may want to check that. Also Window>Workspaces>Import Workspace from Project. I always turn this off.

No it doesn't save with the workspace.

Put the metadata in the order you want it to be in the Project Panel then go to

Project panel menu:

Save as new view preset.

@Ann Bens, I have a preset, but it doesn't save the order. That was my question.

You have it saved in the Metadata display

I was referring to the Project Panel view feature.
