But then when I restarted, it recognized it. I am getting tons of issues on the PC compared to Mac. Can't render frame, etc, etc. Very buggy.

Brand new PC Helios 300 with Nvidia 2060 and Core i& processor.

It's like night and day Premiere on Mac vs this PC.

And yes, I do have the latest Studio NVIDIA drivers installed.

Could you share a short clip by dropbox/wetransfer/whatever  that others like me could try on our machines?

Here is one example: https://1drv.ms/v/s!ArqnVm8SSQTNc-vJIwYK97TscV8?e=MeleKx

I have had a lot of examples. I think this also causes editing and rendering issues.

This clip in particular showed as audio only in Premiere (latest version).

I restarted, the computer and premiere to no avail. The only way I could solve this was to press ALT SHIFT when starting premiere to clear things, but it happens a lot so needs some solution... HELP!!!

And in addition to my last message where I gave you an example file... to show you how random it is.

Try 1: I tried dragging in 119 clips with the project set as CUDA. 13 of them displayed as audio only (they are not audio only). See screenshot

Try 2: I tried dragging in 119 clips with the project set as SOFTWARE ONLY. 13 of them displayed as audio only (they are not audio only).

Try 3: I used ALT SHIFT when starting and when I tried dragging in all the clips, it bombed out and asked me to send an error report.

Try 4: I tried dragging in 119 clips with the project set as CUDA. A different subset of the clips were displaed as audio only (see screenshot). (they are not audio only).

Heres more....

After doing the ALT SHIFT premiere start I decided to drag in some of the clips at a time, not all 119.

A low level exception occurred with the little red screen at the bottom right and this dialog. see screenshot.

Its practically impossible to work with standard A7Siii footage...

Thanks for your help.

This clip imported immediately and plays back fine on my Win10 rig ... huh.

What's the drive setup you're running on that PC?

We use a variety of framerates - all standard practice when working with
a7Siii. Usual workflow in Premiere.
