Adjusting effects with mouse scrolling

Hello, this could be a simple fix, but who knows.

Just to give an example, I am trying to fix increase scale on the effect control panel, and what I usually do . is to click and hold the house and move it right to make the number go bigger, but this has stopped working for me on the 2020. Wondering if anyone has this problem, or is there a button I have to press?
