Adobe Dynamic Link syncing Issues

So I used Adobe Dynamic link from Premiere to AE to stabilize some footage, I then went back to PP to do some colour correcting/grading (I prefer doing it in premiere) but there were so really large distracting highlights i wanted to tone down with a mask in AE so i went back to AE and the footage hadn't update, I made sure I saved both. I tried re-doing Adobe dynamic link> replace with AE comp but that causes both files to turn in to the colour bars I attached.

This is very frustrating I need the colour grader version in AE.

The work you do in Premiere Pro after creating the comp will only appear in PP.  You'd have to start over for that to show up in AE.
