This is a horrible editing program. Have to keep updating and then they abandon what you worked on for a long time. I started a project in 2017 and then tried to up date it  to 2019. HORRIBLE. Had to stay in 2017 but then when I tried to work on 2017 on my lap Premiere even had a different version of 2017 that was not the same on the Desktop so it seems I have to somehow get the same version on lap as the desk but there is no clear way to synchronize the two.  This system is a mess. not to trusted. Is there any way to do this. At my rope end.

gotta say I'm working on various versions of premiere on a few different computers without any serious issues....

If you need help figuring out what versions you have installed on which computer post back.  On the mac, from within Premiere just go to the premiere menu:  about premiere.  I'm not on a windows machine at the moment, but I'm sure it's equally simple.  As long as both systems are on the same "year" of the program, you should be able to move projects between the computers without issue.  If I remember correctly, windows clearly says which version your running.  Gotta say Adobe's naming of versions of programs is not particularly intuitive but is not that difficult to figure it out.    And at this point Adobe is only supporting 2020 and 2021.  There are ways to download and install earlier versions but it's not that simple.  Post back if you need help with downloading a specific version.
