I've recently ran into a serious problem with my premiere pro project. The media cache folder was massive and I manually emptied it with the "Common" folder. However, when I returned to my project, all of the files were offlined. I tried returning the cache but nothing changed.
Afterwards, I tried re-linking the media but an error showed up reading "the importer reporter a generic error" and I could not re-link the files. I looked up solutions to witch I tried re-installing premiere pro and renaming the files. The renamed files then would not upload, having the bar stop around the 5% mark.
The files are spread out amungst numerous sub folders so locating them manually is not really an option. If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated!
