Apple Metal vs. Open CL

Just installed V13 and opened an existing V12 project rendered with Open CL.  When I switched to Metal, items in the timeline

that were yellow turned to red and playback stuttered.

I'm running High Sierra on an iMac Pro with the Vega 64 16GB graphics card.

I wanted to see if others are noticing improvements with Metal or just staying on Open CL.

I'm not familiar with the names of the various Mac OS's, but I've seen information that the 13.x build works best on the last three numbered versions.

Apple is wishing to move away from OpenCL, btw.

I'm also on an iMac Pro, Vega 64, V 13.0 premiere, and MacOS Mojave V10.14

I've noticed metal does play better than in previous builds. However, openCL still runs smoother in live playback for most files I'm working with.

I think the gap is closing, hoping adobe continues pursuing metal improvements since openCL is on the way out....
