Auto save preference?

This project I'm working on had a bit of a snafu (nothing at all fatal) so I thought I'd see if I could go back to one of my auto saved versions. I went to the CC folder>PremierePro>14.0>auto save folder and found only one version of the project; the latest one. Knowing that should't be, I went to check prefs and indeed it's set to auto-save every 10 mins to a maximum of 15 versions.

There is an unchecked selection labeled "Auto save also saves the current project(s)" which I'm not making sense of since isn't the auto-save meant for the project one is currently working on?

go to project settings - scratch disks

where is your project auto save located? there you should find the project auto saves
