Is there a way to automate Scene Detection, the new feature released in september 2020?  I test it and works well for me, takes some time but the result is very good.  But I have a lot of files to work with and I wonder if this proceses can be done in automatic way to avoid wait the analysis.

Unfortunately I don't believe that there is a way to automate this process.

Sorry to be slightly off topic / of no help to you!
This new feature, can I ask you what RAW footage you were working with?

I guess the question is "what is the starting point, for using this feature?"
Are we talking foot that's previously been edited? Do it refere to footage shot on one camera, shot by shot?
Could you explain waht footage you used this feature on please?

thank you!

Thanks Ann,

I had read the article and watcher the video.

My point was,

The text says "detect the original cut points in your footage"

I'm asking what these actually are?

This is for working with a file that was already edited creating a single exported file.

Such as ... you have a sequence of clips, export the file. Then you can use Scene Detection to cut the exported file back into its component clips.

Not just already edited files but e.g. one long file captured from a tape camera instead of captured in clips.
