I am creating a simple animation--moving a clip across the screen in a lateral path (same Y position for both key frames, different X position). The temporal and spacial settings for the first key frame are both set to "Linear". The first and second key frames appropriately show the correct positions (starting and ending horizontal position and identical vertical position). Here's the kicker: when I play the animation, the clip moves in a gentle and slight vertical arc... and I cannot figure out why. Every other setting (ie, scale, anchor, etc is unchanged between the two key frames).
Thanks in advance for your help!

can you share a screenshot of your effect controls panel at the keyframes?
a short video of what's happening would be great too..
did you check if you accidentally created any additional keyframes?
try moving both keyframeas from effect controls and check if there might
be other keyframes created accidentally... if you tried moving your clip from
the program monitor this also creates new keyframes..
if you just have 2 keyframes, select both, right click and change interpolations to linear,
then use the arrows next to the property you are animating to jump right on the keyframes
and change their interpolation.. mainly set the second one to ease out so that it stops gradually..

Bezier curves will be applied if you dont't have all keyframes set to linear.
