Yesterday I installed the current Blackmagis Raw plugin from BMD. When I import BRAW footage I get this alert:
"Blackmagic RAW requires Adobe Premiere Pro 15.4 or greater.
Current Adobe Premiere Pro version 15.2.
Clip metadata editing disabled for this version."
My Premiere Pro version is indeed 15.2.0 (Build 35) (MacOS Big Sur 11.4), but my CC App manager tells me it's up to date, and there is no update available.
What's the story on this pn]hantom v15.4??
You will find it in the CC app, under the Premiere beta versions

Two Quick Questions on these—is the 15.4 version going to be much more stable than the 22.0 version? (I assume it is.) and can the beta co-exist with the current release version (15.2)?

I have Beta 22 and 15.2 on my machine with no problems. I had 15.2 and 15.4 together also with no problems.

Sounds good. Are the project files for Beta 22 compatible with 15.2? So if I run into an issue with the beta I can open the file in the release version?

Yea, the beta & public versions can work the same files. The beta has the vastly improved speech to text process for transcriptions, and they've been advising people that need to do this to simply use the beta version to get the transcriptions, then open the project in the shipping one to work it.
The older BM plugin, that's still gen 4 color, will still work with 15.2 PrPro.
