Can I change the Premier Pro desktop color to white? The black color makes it very difficult to work with the software

No, you can set it to a lighter color gray but that is it.
Option is in the Preference under Appearance.

Thank you very much for your answer Unfortunately the second option is dark gray which is too dark and straining your eyes (not really healthy) Thanks a lot again

Hi, your answer is over three years from now but it seems it still is the same with the desktop color? I'm new with Premiere and find it extremely difficult to work with it. Having a not so good quality monitor and smallest texts are nearly impossaible to read...

The background can go from a dark charkoal to a moderatly light grey. Having a middle-gray (to the eyes) background helps one judge image tonalities and saturation better.
The text ... sigh. Up through the CS versions and the first CC version, 2014, the text was yellow. They decided to go with the blue in I think it was 2015. It's harder for some people to see than the yellow was. You're most correct on that.
And there's been a push to get ability to select an alternate color text the entire time, but no movement from the developers. I've gotten used to it, but with an option, I'd probably take the option if I could get the yellow back.
