Can't import into timeline and can't edit things already in the timeline

Im having an interesting problem, everything works fine except for the fact that I can't physically drag a clip into the timeline. If I hit the insert in to timeline button that works, but I can't edit any clips once put in the timeline. I have no idea what is wrong, all was going well and then all of the sudden this started happening. Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jackb,

Go to the following location in the machine

In Windows, C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\11.0 (Or)

In Mac, Documents > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 11.0

Rename the 11.0 folder to Old_11.0

Launch Premiere Pro, Create a new project(do not open Old projects)

In Menu bar, Window > Workspace > Uncheck Import Workspace from Projects.

Open the old project & check the issue.

Please let us know the status of the issue.

Thanks,

Vidya Sagar.

I have had this problem. Not sure what causes the problem. I created a new sequence, copy and paste old sequence to new and bam! I could then drag onto timeline and edit.

I had this problem as well.

I learned that switching your workspace to editing and then back to your custom space makes it work

This appears to be a update glitch. I have talked to customer support about it many times and nothing gets done about.

Adobe is crashing on me so often I can no longer trust it as a professional tool.

fil,

Make sure you have V1 and A1 Source Patching Set correctly. Sometimes A1 or V1 can become disconnected.

Thanks,
Kevin

For me it helped waiting a bit until you see the red lock in the left bottom corner, if you see it, go to the file location your video is in and delete the prlock file.
